1997 - One Piece Anvil for Tubular Piles with a Diameter of 3500 mm

In 1997 IHC was the first manufacturer to make a single piece Anvil that can be used for driving piles with a diameter up to 3500 mm without the use of (partially conical) pile caps (impact plate weight 35 tonnes). Energy measurements in the casing by TNO Construction have shown that even with these diameters the S-500 hammer transmits 85% of the energy to the pile on impact.
