Sound & Sizes Seminar

 

On Friday 16 October, IHC Hydrohammer® organised the Sound & Sizes seminar for the offshore wind turbine market. There were about 100 people present at the Landvast Conference Centre in Alblasserdam, including a number of leading European builders of offshore wind parks. The subjects discussed at the seminar included:

● the steady increase in monopile diameters and the appropriate solutions (from IHC Hydrohammer)
● solutions for the reduction of underwater noise during piling work (from IHC Hydrohammer and TNO, the Dutch research instition)
● the synergy of companies in the IHC Merwede Group for the renewables market (from IHC Handling Systems, IHC Sea Steel and IHC Engineering Business, IHC Offshore Wind Energy)
● existing solutions such as: handling tools, installation vessels and Fast Frames.

The feedback from the participants later in the day was very enthusiastic.
